More than 19 years between orthopedic surgery, implant technology and software
Bastian Pesl has worked with digital preoperative orthopedic planning since March 2007. His career connects implant geometry, radiographic templating, clinical users, manufacturer data, product strategy and the practical implementation of healthcare software. OrthoMetiQ transfers this accumulated experience into a modern browser-based WebPlanner and a structured planning service.
Transparency note: The professional role at Dedalus Healthcare and the independently developed OrthoMetiQ project are organizationally separate. Mentioning the employer documents professional background only and does not imply a partnership, endorsement or product approval.

How OrthoMetiQ content and workflows are created
Public clinical and technical pages are written from direct professional experience and checked against the actual product workflow. They distinguish measurable image-based facts, planning assumptions and medical decisions. Marketing language is not used to claim diagnostic certainty, guaranteed implant sizes or regulatory status that has not been documented.
Medical responsibility
OrthoMetiQ supports qualified professional users. It does not replace medical examination, indication, operative planning responsibility or intraoperative judgment. Final decisions remain with the treating medical specialist and the responsible institution.
